RacoWireless Executive Named Distinguished Entrepreneur of 2014

Accolade recognizes Felix Lluberes, Raco’s President of Location-Based Services for overall entrepreneurial business success in Southwest Florida

Naples, FL - May 22th, 2014 - President of Location-Based Services at RacoWireless, Felix Lluberes, was named as the 2014 Distinguished Entrepreneur by the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Florida Gulf Coast University. Each year, the SBDC recognizes Southwest Florida’s outstanding business leaders for their overall entrepreneurial success.

The recognition was handed out last night at an exclusive awards dinner in Bonita Springs, Florida. Among the 27 award nominees were business owners and leaders from an array of industries – all with main offices in the Southwest Florida region.

“It’s an honor for me to be named among the entrepreneurial leaders in the region,” commented Lluberes. “This recognition is really a credit to what the team we have assembled has been able to do. Innovation has always been a key focus of our business, and when you’re in the technology space, things change every day. I’m proud of the growth that we have seen as we have been able to lead out in our industry and become the front-runner in location-based services.”

Lluberes founded Position Logic (www.positionlogic.com) in 2007 along with his business partner, Hong Long. Together, they set out to build a GPS tracking platform to serve the needs of an array of businesses including fleet management and security companies across the globe. In the ensuing years, Position Logic experienced rapid growth and was recognized with a number of accolades, including positions on the Inc. 500.

Last summer the company joined forces through a merger with RacoWireless (www.racowireless.com), a leading machine-to-machine (M2M) solutions provider to make it even easier for companies to deploy and manage wireless technologies across the globe. Today the joined company operates in more than 60 countries and has more than 150 employees across 5 offices, with a strong foothold in Naples, Florida.

“I am thrilled for Felix,” noted John Horn, President of RacoWireless. “He truly deserves this recognition for the entrepreneurial spirit that he has shown in building such an innovative solution with the team in Naples.”
